When does the Asr window end?
Asr ends at sunset (Maghrib). The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: "Whoever catches one rakat of Asr before sunset has caught Asr" (Bukhari). In Som Sālimīyah today, that gives a window from 14:58 to 17:29.
Why is Asr particularly emphasized in the Qur'an?
Surah Al-Baqarah 2:238 says: "Guard strictly your prayers, especially the middle prayer." Many scholars identify this verse as referring to Asr, which falls in the middle of the working day when distractions are highest and missing the prayer is easiest.

What is the spiritual significance of Asr?
Guard strictly your prayers, especially the Middle Prayer (Asr). (Quran 2:238)
Can I delay Asr to combine with Maghrib?
No. Asr and Maghrib are not among the prayers classical jurisprudence allows to be combined. Dhuhr/Asr and Maghrib/Isha can be combined under specific conditions, but Asr must always be completed before sunset.
