Svar opdateres dagligt baseret på dagens referencebønnetider på tværs af Antarctica.

What time are today's prayers in Antarctica?

Reference times from McMurdo Station (capital of Antarctica) for today: Fajr 01:40, Dhuhr 13:39, Asr 17:06, Maghrib 22:22, Isha 23:52 (local time, Antarctica/McMurdo). Click the city tile to see times specific to that location.

Why do prayer times differ between cities in Antarctica?

Prayer times depend on the local sunrise, solar zenith, and sunset — which shift with longitude and latitude. Even within Antarctica, two cities a few hundred kilometres apart can have Fajr times that differ by 10–20 minutes. Always use the city-specific page rather than a national average.

What is today's Hijri date in Antarctica?

Today corresponds to 1 Jumada al-Ula 1448 AH in the Islamic Hijri calendar. In Antarctica, the Hijri date changes at Maghrib (sunset) of each city — the time of which is shown on the individual city pages.

Which Qibla direction do Muslims in Antarctica face?

All Muslims face the Kaaba in Mecca, but the bearing (measured clockwise from true north) differs by city within Antarctica because of the Earth's curvature. Each city page shows the precise Qibla bearing for that location, calculated via the great-circle method.

How many cities in Antarctica have published prayer times here?

This page links to prayer times for 1 city in Antarctica. Each city has its own page with daily and monthly timetables, per-prayer details, and a Qibla bearing.

Are prayer times in this country adjusted for Daylight Saving Time?

Yes — all times shown are in local civil time and automatically reflect any DST shifts observed in Antarctica. There is no separate adjustment needed.

Which calculation method should I follow?

The page defaults to widely-accepted regional conventions (Umm al-Qura for the Arabian Peninsula, ISNA for North America, Muslim World League for most of Europe and Asia). If your local mosque uses a different method, switch via the page filters and bookmark the resulting URL for daily reference.
